David gave me organ lessons at the rink. When he went to their new rink, I took over at Concord. I think it was 1974, or somewhere around there. I started taking skating lessons from him and I was always interested the organ. I was lucky to have a skating rink organist teach me. I used to play my session at Concord and then go to Cornwells and play while David was giving dance lessons. It was great practice for me! I played several Pa States and several meets in Pa and New Jersey. Marty died a few years ago and David is living in Kernersville, NC. I went to see cousins in Hampstead, NC in early July and David and I met up for lunch one day. Concord and Cornwells are both gone now. Concord was turned into storage units and Cornwells is an alternative school. After I played a State Championship in Marlton, NJ, that rink hired me and I left Concord. The organ was in the corner near the men's room up on a platform when I left.
